Not just a visit visa
GCI is intended for long-term residence needs, not only short trips or temporary visits.

What is GCI
Global Citizen of Indonesia is an immigration facility for foreign nationals who have a strong background connection with Indonesia. The final goal is permanent stay permission and an unlimited re-entry permit for applicants who meet the category and requirement criteria.
GCI is intended for long-term residence needs, not only short trips or temporary visits.
If the process is approved and completed, applicants may obtain ITAP GCI and an unlimited re-entry permit.
GCI holders still have reporting obligations and must update changes of status or address when required.
Who can apply
The applicant category is the main foundation. Before preparing documents, the applicant needs to understand whether they fit as a former Indonesian citizen, descendant of a former Indonesian citizen, spouse of an Indonesian citizen, spouse of a GCI holder, or child from a legal marriage with an Indonesian citizen.
For applicants who previously held Indonesian citizenship.
For family members or descendants with evidence of ties to Indonesia.
For a legal spouse of an Indonesian citizen with suitable marriage and sponsor documents.
For the spouse or child of a GCI holder who meets the relevant requirements.
Why GCI is different
In common visa applications, the process usually focuses on application submission, payment, and internal verification. GCI has an additional layer: applicants must attend an online interview and the application is assessed by an inter-agency evaluation team. Because of that, documents, category, and the applicant's explanation need to support each other.
Risk, fees, and value of assistance
The official GCI application fee is relatively high, and the decision still depends on eligibility, document completeness, applicant background, and interview assessment. Because of that, eligibility review and preparation from the beginning are important to reduce the risk of a weak application.
Refusal may happen when documents are not strong enough, background does not fit, or interview answers do not support the selected category.
Before paying and applying, we help review whether the applicant profile is reasonably eligible, which documents need to be strengthened, and which risks should be anticipated.
SentraVisa helps direct the process in an organized way, including interview preparation and follow-up coordination so the application can be considered with more prepared data.
Requirements and documents
Not every applicant needs the same documents. In general, the GCI process requires identity documents, evidence of a relationship with Indonesia, proof of financial capacity or certain guarantees, and other supporting documents based on the selected index.
Valid passport, recent photo, curriculum vitae, and other basic documents requested by the system.
Old KTP, old Indonesian passport, birth certificate, family card, marriage certificate, diploma, or family records depending on the case.
Some categories require a sponsor, proof of income, investment commitment, or property documents.
GCI application flow
After eligibility and documents are prepared, the application enters the e-Visa, payment, interview, evaluation team verification, application result, then arrival and residence permit issuance stages if approved.
Determine whether the applicant fits a GCI category and which index is most suitable.
Prepare identity evidence, relationship with Indonesia, sponsor documents, and financial documents.
Submission and payment are made after the data and documents are ready.
The applicant attends an online interview with the evaluation team to confirm the application.
The result may be approval, pending for follow-up, or refusal.
If approved, the applicant continues the arrival process until ITAP and the re-entry permit are issued.

Common questions
GCI is a long-term residence route with a more selective process. In addition to document submission, applicants may go through an interview and inter-agency verification.
GCI is generally intended for former Indonesian citizens, descendants of former Indonesian citizens, spouses of Indonesian citizens, spouses of GCI holders, and children from a legal marriage with an Indonesian citizen, with document details depending on the category.
Yes. The online interview is an important part of the GCI assessment, so documents and the application explanation should be prepared from the beginning.
Because the official GCI application fee is relatively high and the result is still assessed based on documents, background, and interview. An early review helps identify risk before official submission.
No party can guarantee the decision. Our role is to reduce administrative risk through category selection, document preparation, and a more organized process.
If approved and completed, the final result is ITAP GCI and an unlimited re-entry permit.
